The hoist is a special equipment used to control the lifting and lowering of various large and medium-sized cast iron gates and steel gates. It is widely used in large-scale water supply and drainage, water conservancy and hydropower and ship lock projects, such as Chengnan Water Network Construction Project, Shaobo Ship Lock, Datengxia Ship Lock, etc. Its design must meet the requirements of safe and reliable work, flexible and convenient operation, and the maximum reasonable service life can be up to 50 years.
The hoist drives the gate through a hydraulic system or an electric system. The main types include hydraulic hoists, winch hoists, screw hoists, etc. Hydraulic hoists use liquid pressure to transfer energy and include hydraulic pump groups, hydraulic valve groups, hydraulic cylinders and other components; winch-type hoists use wire rope hoisting to lift the gate. The equipment usually integrates detection devices such as limiters and gate level gauges, and can be equipped with a "non-electric hydraulic control emergency operator" as an emergency backup to ensure gate operation in emergencies such as power loss.
